Oops, I almost forgot this north path. We started at the Lambertus Church, where you can park easily. The round is a beautiful and varied tour. The biggest highlight was definitely the sugar-sweet foal, but also the cute church, the beautiful paths, fields, meadows, forests and the nice break areas were not to be despised.
The vacation is slowly coming to an end, but it's not over yet. So we continue hiking! And the first quarter of the northern paths has already been explored. It can happen that quickly. There really are worse holiday activities! Very very nice! And what also surprised me: there is surprisingly little rubbish lying around on the northern paths. That's wonderful and hopefully it stays that way. Unfortunately, on many of the roads I used to go on, things looked different, at least in sections.
Good route. The online trail deviates slightly from the real route, but it's not too bad. After the rain, the ground is quite muddy in places.
Unspectacular; Forest and meadow paths without real highlights. In contrast to this is the rest area density. On one section (700 m) there were 3 rest areas.
Who should hike the round: The refuge and the angler's hut (closed) with 2 benches and a bench in front of the hut with 2 ponds are highly recommended
Today I overtook myself on the right, wanted to hike, but also swim ... the north path "Timke forests" is ideal for this. I really really really (!!) didn't meet anyone except the two riders on the way back from the Ummelbad to Kirchtimke! The forest is quiet and big. First the Schierk, then the Ummel. Incredible calm! The Italians run by themselves now, I don't have to do much anymore😄 sorry for the many vanishing point photos, I just love that and was so excited about my being alone outside! Great experience, first hike 12 km, then swim 1000m, then run another 6 km ...... I've always wanted to do it!
Today I discovered the north path Timke-Wälder for myself 😊. In Kirchtimke/Kirche I started clockwise and was quickly rewarded with a great landscape. The route through the Ummelwald is nice and relaxed. A dream for the nose 🌳🌲🌳 All in all, a nice varied north path that I will definitely visit again! Only the last 3 km were poorly signposted or overgrown. With a look at Komoot, however, it was not a problem. A north path that is really worth it👌
We started at St. Lambertus Church in Kirchtimke and hiked counterclockwise on the Timke-Wälder north path. There are plenty of rest opportunities along the hiking route.
