From our hotel in Bad Gögging, we drove to Offerstetten, where we happened upon a beautiful castle. From a parking lot near the school in Offerstetten, we set off on the Bavarian Baroque Tour, which led via Sallingberg, Obermondsberg, Helchenbach, Adlhausen, Laaber, Oberndorf, Schmidtdorf, Laaberberg, Alzhausen, and Rohr (we definitely had to visit the Assam Church), then via Obereulenbach, Wildenberg, and Kirchdorf back to Offerstetten. The tour continued mostly on quiet side roads, including bike paths and forest paths, and shortly before the end of the tour, we continued on a roughly graveled path, steadily uphill and downhill through beautiful countryside—hop fields, cornfields, grain fields, potato fields, sunflower fields, and rapeseed—and repeatedly passed small, typically Bavarian hamlets and villages with churches, fire stations, and maypoles. A wonderful tour for e-bikes or very athletic cyclists, as there are some inclines to tackle.
