String Lake is also a popular swimming and (non-motorized) boating spot. Many people will bring paddle boards and kayaks and paddle up to Leigh Lake, which is only accessable by walking trail or water.

This is a great place to take plenty of photographs and eat a snack before continuing on your hike.
