Beautiful hike over to Austria/Tyrol. From the Gießenbachklamm hiking car park you initially walk along the Kiefer (small wild river) and old railway tracks until just beyond the state border. The path goes up a steel staircase and then just follow the forest/hiking path to Thiersee. Along the way you will find several information boards about the Tyrolean film factory. …

Today we sat at the Thiersee and enjoyed the peace and quiet. A truly idyllic place with a view of the local mountain, the Pendling. The lake is surrounded by the cozy village on the high plateau.

The locals also call the lake a place of power because of its special energy.
