After the appointment at the in-house and court optician in Landau to put new glasses in the glasses, on the way home we made a planned detour to the most remote hiking car park in Deidesheim and undertook a very entertaining hike to the Wachtenburg.

We started at the Sensental hiking car park in Deidesheim. We went via the Michaelskapelle ⛪, Heidenlöcher, and Basalt Lake to Wachtenburg 🏰. Then we followed the Palatinate Almond Trail back to Deidesheim.
