Here you can easily change the side of the street. Drivers always stop. Only the circulation barriers are a bit annoying...

Scenic Cycle Path Along the Water

Highlight • Cycleway

A very nice bike path right by the water. It's just a shame that it suddenly ends and you take a gravel path to the next small paved road. But then it's easily passable again.

Dajla Monastery Complex

Highlight • Religious Site

This abandoned monastery complex, which apparently also served as a boarding school, lies on a promontory directly by the sea. The stately historic buildings are slowly decaying and only a hermit holds the position

Today, after a bit of a break 🤕, I finally headed to Umag and Novigrad by bike.
Almost entirely along the sea, a dream ☺️

Beautiful route along the coast. Many cycle paths have been marked or created. In Umag we ate a delicious 😋 ice cream and walked around a bit, then went back the same way.

A very nice bike ride on the coast between
Novigrad and Umag🏖

After a day's break, we set off for Umag after breakfast. From there we wanted to cycle to Novigrad, following a route from Idriva Tours. We simply parked at Lidl. We had to do some shopping anyway.
From the Lidl car park we first went over a two-lane roundabout and then back on side roads to the main road. This …

Tour from Novigrad to Umag

A wonderful tour along specially designed bike paths, accessible beach promenades, past beach bars and restaurants in the stunning Istrian coastal landscape. There are a few singletrack trails, but hardly any main roads.

The bike path from Novigrad towards Umag is almost fully developed (which cannot be said towards Poretsch). It is easily doable with …

The tour was cool. We had a good headwind, and with front and rear lights, you're safer on the road :-)

On the way there, we drove along the beach via the Umag campsite. Very exhausting. The alternative is to drive partly on the sidewalk on the busy road.

Today cloudy, so good for a bike ride. However, there are hardly any good bike paths here. In between you can drive well, then the paths just stop. You have to drive mostly gravel roads or main roads. Imagist a beautiful city nonetheless. Has a lot of Italian flair with small Venetian alleys
