On a flying visit to the Burgwald🌞🌲🌳
In this round, many hiking tours run one on top of the other: Burgwaldpfad, Christenbergtour, Huguenot and Waldensian path and, in some cases, Hessenweg 4.
On the way are the Mellnau castle ruins and the Celtic, later Franconian fortress of Christenberg. You can enjoy the panoramic views from both.
Mostly narrow paths or …

The title says it all! 🫶
A very beautiful tour that is excellently signposted 👍
Currently, sturdy footwear and sure footing are a great advantage!

I think I'll do the tour again in May, when the weather is better 😎
Until then,
Happy Holidays ✌️

Very nice tour with mossy forests, lots of heath and swampy waters. It's not a premium hiking trail for nothing.
Unfortunately, the restaurant on Christenberg is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, but there are nice places to sit and take a break along the entire route.

A four-person delegation from the "Wanderlosen" has entered a hitherto unknown hiking area, the Burgwald.
The Burgwald is located in the districts of Waldeck-Frankenberg and Marburg-Biedenkopf.
@Christian aus S. lured us on this varied tour.
We were able to enjoy every kilometer. The time we invested was implemented in equal parts into movement and rest time.
We were definitely not …

The Christenberg tour is a true hiking fairy tale and also inspires us to repeat it with its landscape and the associated path structure. We were still too early for the blueberries, but not for sparkling water. 🤩🌊
Both in the moor area and the Hutschbach there was a lot of water, so that we could not only enjoy the …

A very nice and varied tour. Homely paths, always beautiful views. Zeil's somewhat strenuous ascent, I would not rate it as "easy" as described in the official Burgwald guide. Definitely recommended for those with some experience
