Did a nice ride today. The weather was good and there were a few small climbs today. But thanks to the e-bike it went great. Finally had some sunshine.

The circular tour starts in the beautiful Bad Essen. From here, you cycle to the Mittellandkanal and cross it. Shortly afterwards, you will pass the fairytale-like Schloss Hünnefeld and the mighty Schloss Ippenburg. Afterwards, a wonderfully flat stretch awaits you, leading you through a great landscape with wide fields and romantic orchards.

We started at Bad Essener Berg and cycled anti-clockwise (actually it is recommended otherwise) because we wanted to reach the "Alte Rentei" café at Hünnefeld Castle shortly before the end.

The signs were missing in two places, but otherwise they are very good.

The route also includes forest paths that are not easy to cycle on after rain.
