This was our second attempt; the first one last summer failed miserably. It was warm, and we had barely set foot on the moor when the mosquitoes attacked us. It was so intense that we abandoned the hike.

We did the short hike through the nature reserve in beautiful autumn weather.
It goes all over the Venner Moor. Part of the route goes over a boardwalk. The Dortmund Ems Canal runs past the NSG.
