I took Angelika's hike to the Birkighütte on May 1st in Komoot as an opportunity to do this tour and check out the Birkighütte, even though I knew it wasn't open.

The Hainberg Barracks and the former military training area bring back memories of my basic military service there in the 1970s. A lot has changed since then.
