Spontaneously went for a little round at the Wupper dam. Was quite pleasant and there were shades on many parts of the tour. Only a few large, extremely loud Bluetooth speakers were annoying from time to time.

In such glorious weather, or rather, sweltering heat, there's nothing better than hiking by a reservoir, where a gentle breeze and plenty of shady trees always promise a refreshing breeze.

No sooner said than done. The reservoirs in the Bergisches Land combine beautiful hiking trails, benches, forests, shade, and cool water, so even in the heat, you can cover many …

It goes briefly over hill and dale until you reach the Wuppertal dam where you can pick up speed and run a good distance 🥾😜 the water level of the dam is really low❗❗ all in all it was a nice route that you can run well 🥾

The tour had been on the agenda for a long time, if only because of the funny shape. 😉 So the whole thing was tackled today in the best hiking weather. 😎

Personally, I was a bit lacking in the "big picture" view, which can't be any other way due to the nested structure. Also, the lake was quite overgrown …

A beautiful hike around the Wuppertal Dam. You do have to make some compromises because of the noise from the B59!

@Carmen and Katja, thanks for the idea about the tour.
Very nice route, unfortunately the dogs were not allowed into the water. There is still a risk of contamination in the water after the heavy rain.

I started quite early at the Niedernfeld Radevormwald hiking car park. The path led me along beautiful paths along the dam.😍 Sometimes you have the feeling of being on a fjord🌊🌲🌳. How beautiful it is here. 🥰Just enjoy the peace and switch off.🤗
At the end a few friendly 🚴‍♀️ crossed my path.
A round that I can only recommend.

In bright sunshine ☀️ we went to the water today without children, in the middle of the Bergisches Land, at the Wuppertalsperre near Radevormwald ⛵️🌾.

Little by little we would like to take a look at the reservoirs that NRW has to offer, we started with the Wuppertalsperre.
