Wicked Angermunder See. Like its famous brother in Unterbach, the Angermunder See is also a former quarry pit. But where Unterbach soon became a leisure paradise (with north and south beaches, restaurants, boat rentals), things are decidedly more anarchic in the north.

Lake Angermund is a 45-hectare, publicly accessible gravel pit lake located near the airport in the north of Düsseldorf. There's a surf school on site and several sunbathing lawns (some of which are nude). However, swimming is prohibited here, and no one seems to be following it.
