In a beautiful but quite snobbish and very expensive seaside resort like Sopot, there seems to be no place for a fishing harbor. This, however, is not true. There is a fishing harbor where you can see picturesque, colorful wooden boats referring to the centuries-old tradition of this place. Until the 19th century, Sopot was a fishing village.

Therefore, some people are surprised that near the pier, the famous "Monciak" or Plac Przyjaciół Sopotu, on the southern part of the beach, there is a fishing harbor. It is worth adding that this is the last of the Sopot fishing harbors, of which there were several in the past.
