Welcome to De Hoge Blekker, with its 33 meters the highest dune in the entire Flemish coastal region. A striking appearance and an impressive eye-catcher. Centuries ago, one of the two mills of the Ten Duinen Abbey stood, today the South Abbey Mill stands. The current Koksijde South Abbey mill dates from 1773 and was originally located in Houtem near Veurne (Lootvoet mill). There it was demolished in 1951-1952 and rebuilt in Koksijde in 1953.
