Best in the evening in the dusk drive in, because then little to no traffic and the temperature is pleasant;)

Pont d'Arc

Highlight • Beach

Icon of the Ardèche gorges, the bridge is a must. You can clearly see that the Ardèche River has gradually worn down the limestone rock and cut through it to create this impressive bridge that defies gravity. The Cirque d'Estre is of course the old course of the river which is now dried up and cut off after the river diverted. A geography lesson in 3D!

Beautiful panoramic road with some viewpoints with a wonderful view of the Ardéche gorges. On some sections it can be tight for teams with larger caravans when there is oncoming traffic. Tight curves, tunnel passages, steep climbs and descents - everything is available.

Hello Komootler, this route on the Ardèche is certainly the most beautiful. Little traffic and if there is, then sports cars worth seeing. There are always viewpoints with breathtaking panoramas. My photos are only a small excerpt of the impressions. The route requires a lot of power, I barely managed with the 2 batteries. A highly recommended tour.
