Symbolic statues

Highlight • Other

On the way to the Agnel pass, 3 characters seem to watch over the road. Their mysterious appearance breaks the monotony of the climb a little by trying to evoke 3 symbols of life.
The first statue with its long hair recalls the rooting necessary for all plant life but also for any other form of life because without vegetation there can be no life.
The second represents water, which promotes the rooting and growth of vegetation, but also quenches the thirst of men and animals.
The third represents the sun and the moon, lights of day and night.

June 19, 2023,Col Agnel / Colle dell'Agnello
Col Agnel, one of the best climbs of this 'holiday'. The Finestre was maybe the best road to ride but the Italian side of the Agnel gave the most 'wow'. Next up is Col de la Bonette and the lesser know side, Col de la Moutière.

Hard climb with wind in the nose. Terrific views from the Agnel path.
