While exploring the Don Quixote route, it's worth spending a day at the Lagunas de Ruidera. Surprising for those of us who weren't familiar with them. Along the trail I followed, I came across paths with restricted access, both on foot and by bike, due to the presence of endangered animal species. It's important to respect these areas.
