With wonderful hiking weather, we went from the Soistal to the Hohenstein. A nice young crew treated us to the Otto-Kandler-Haus with good Kaspressknödelsuppe and sweet dessert, after that we went down again in the first part on a rather steep and slippery, muddy path. All in all a nice circular hike that we always enjoy doing.

Today was a beautiful day with several highlights. Sunshine with around 25 degrees Celsius up on the mountain, we saw an ibex, the deer bellowed through the forests, enjoyed a good meal at the hut, and finally visited the summit cross, which was rebuilt and erected by the Rubner apprentices in 2025.
