A great little last hike in 2024 and the weather was kind to us! Icy wind and hoarfrost immersed the Kaufunger forest in a bizarre and mystical winter atmosphere! At times the sun came through and the white powdered trees looked majestic against the steel blue sky!

From the 🅿️ Niester Riesen we started the circular hiking trail 13 today. A very nice path up to the section of the forest highway between owl trees and the large crossroads after the folding rule. The bark beetle and the storms of recent years have also left their mark on the forest.
