It is a pedestrian and cycle path, so it is easy to walk on. When the sun is shining there is no shade, so take a hat with you.

The NAJU (Nature Conservation Youth) local group Bruckmühl of the Landesbund für Vogelschutz (LBV) eV in Bruckmühl has on a non-profit green area of the Free State of Bavaria next to the Mangfall, on the Brückenweg in the district of Hinrichssegen, a nature adventure garden to sensitize our native nature and for environmental education based on the model of the three -Zone garden principle developed by Markus Gastl.

On the one hand, the area is used as a base for the group lessons of the NAJU Bruckmühl and, on the other hand, it is intended to show interested citizens possibilities and examples of how one can contribute to greater biodiversity in one's own garden. The area is also available to schools and club groups for nature and environmental education and has been used by the nearby primary school in Heufeld since the beginning of this year.

Salus Auwald Biotope

Highlight • Natural

The market town of Bruckmühl is centrally located in the lower Mangfall valley, embedded in the molasse ridges of the last ice age (Würm Ice Age), in front of the magnificent backdrop of the northern Alps.
In addition to this beautiful landscape, Bruckmühl has something special to offer: the "Bruckmühl Nature Experience" (NB). The NB is a joint project by the Salus company and the Bruckmühl market. It consists of the Salus Alluvial Forest Biotope (SAB), the Animal Science Museum (TKM) and the Natural History Museum (NKM) Bruckmühl. Alluvial forest and museums complement each other. Anyone who wants to expand their knowledge of plants with animals – before or after a leisurely walk in the biotope – goes to the museums. With the help of preparations, video recordings and display boards, you can take a closer look at many of our animals in the alluvial forest, observe them in their natural environment and get explanations of the relationships in nature. There is also a small collection of minerals. The museum staff will be happy to provide information.
