Heinrich Christian Carl August Wallmann, or better known as Robber Captain Rose, born in Helmstedt, is the namesake of this tour with lots of information about this "sly fox".

Robber captain Rose, the "most honest" of the robbers and thieves in the Helmstedt area, is the namesake of this hike starting in Harbke.

Despite my knee injury, we walked our last official circular route in Lappwald today and also collected our last stamp. 🤗
We already knew most of the route sections from previous tours in this area, but we still discovered a few unknown corners. 😊 The consistently signposted Räuberweg was also populated by numerous party muggles today and many a cozy …

"Robber captain 🗡️ Rose, the 'most honest' among the robbers and thieves is the namesake for this hike."

The hike started today in the parking lot 🚗 at Ruhe-Forst in Harbke 🏘️.

Along the nature trail set up there, I first reached the first stop on the hike, the Robber's Cave 🏹 Harbke.

When I was travelling home from my last hiking tour by train, I leafed through the brochure that was on the train, "DB Hikes in Saxony-Anhalt". The Robber Captain's Rose Trail caught my eye.

Today I walked it and I really like the hiking area around the Magdeburg Börde. Very spacious, lots of fields and the occasional village.

There are also stamps here that you can collect. Either with the free Elm-Lappwald app (digital stamping is sufficient) or with the hiking stamp book (available e.g. from A.....

I collected the following stamps today:
29 Räuberhöhle Harbke
30 Rodenberg
32 Steinkistengrab
34 Gneisenau Denkmal
31 Bullerspring

What an incredibly beautiful round. Field, forest, heath, wheat desert, springs, streams, ponds. 5 embossing points and a few places to stop for refreshments in a historical ambience add to the versatility. Countless views make the tour unique.

Arrival and departure by train to/from the historically important Marienborn train station.
