Heringsdorf Beach and Pier

Highlight • Beach

The Heringsdorf pier is very impressive even from a distance. A walk on the beach or a bike ride along the promenade is always a highlight for visitors. You should leave your MTB at the entrance to the bridge when visiting, for example, the ice cream parlor.

The Kaiserbad Heringsdorf is one of the most famous seaside resorts of Usedom and is often referred to as the "villa district of Usedom". The pier in the Baltic Sea resort of Heringsdorf is impressive, setting a small record with a length of 508 meters. No pier in Germany is longer.

Forest Cycle Path to Bansin

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

A forest path along the coast. It's easy to drive, but there are always a lot of people on the road here.

We start this beautiful circular hike on the beach promenade at Seestrasse in Bansin - right next to the concert shell and the clock on the promenade. From here we keep left towards the Bansin pier and stay on the beach promenade even after the pier.

A little later we head into the forest towards Forsthaus Langenberg. We hike up to the Langenberg forester's lodge and from here enjoy the wonderful views from the edge of the high dunes on the Langen Berg (54m) down to the beach and the Baltic Sea. Anyone who can admire this view when the weather is nice knows why the Baltic Sea is more popular with hikers than the North Sea.

We later leave the edge of the dune and hike inland to the heavily silted Mümmelkensee. The Mümmelkensee owes its name to the Low German name for the yellow pond lily: Mümmelken.

The Mümmelkensee is the scour of a kettle moor. The open water surface covers approximately 1ha.

Beach access here is via stairs. In the run-up to the entrance there is a small stage and numerous gastronomic facilities, which offer typical dishes and drinks. Ückerritz is a.m. not as crowded as other baths on Usedom.

A nice little bike tour with Emilia and Viktoria through the hilly east of Usedom - including a swim break at Ückeritz

Today we went on a short tour during our short holiday on Usedom. While my wife enjoyed the spa treatments, I hopped on my bike and rode to Heringsdorf and then along the shore path back to Ückeritz. Pleasant weather, but very busy on the shore, given the time of year. Still recommended, very pleasant paths.

Successful bike tour, with challenging paths. Great landscape

Between km 20.5 and 21.5 there is a sandy path that is better to avoid. Is not passable by bike.

Baltic Sea resort Ückeritz
Seaside resort with charm and sea
Ückeritz is one of the so-called amber resorts on Usedom. The seaside resort, located between Koserow and Heringsdorf, is considered to be an authentic and natural seaside resort in the tradition of the former fishing and farming village, away from the glamour of the imperial spas, and is also known …

Great cycle path along the coast - between the cliffs and the flood dam.

The architecture along the beach promenade is impressive in addition to the beach promenade itself with its gastronomy and relaxation options

This bike tour with an incline of up to 16° *up and down* is really fun "and not just with an e-bike 😉👍"
!!!! THERE WILL NOT BE BORING!!!!
