Lackawanna Dune

Highlight • Natural Monument

A beautiful and well-known dune and elevation of variable height (it's a dune, so it's mobile!), approximately 30 meters above sea level, on the Łeba Spit. Beautiful, fantastic views – a truly unique natural wonder.

Really impressive how big the shifting dunes are here. The ascent in the sand is also not without - much more exhausting than on a firm ground.

For the way there we recommend the electric taxi (approx. 5€ per person)... the path through the forest is quite nice...

All day :) 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
We parked the car in the car park in Rabka for 9ztl/h.
The entrance to the national park costs 9ztl or 4.50ztl.
Then we took the electric bus (18ztl/13.50ztl) further to the dune.
You have to walk the remaining 2km anyway. We then walked along the sea back to the car park.

Absolutely worth seeing! It looks much more impressive than the pictures can show
If you don't want to hike that far, you can take an electric taxi the 6 km to the start of the dunes.

At the entrance to the Slovenian National Park there is a paid parking lot (8 zl/h), entrance to the park 8 zl. From here either on foot or by e-bus (20 zl) to the shifting dune Wydma Łącka!!
Absolutely unique and worth seeing!!! Back barefoot 🦶 across the great beach.

The shifting dune in the Polish national park "Słowiński Park Narodowy" is also called "Polish Sahara".

The tour to the large shifting dune begins on the beach in Leba. Approx. 8km. After the descent, take the shuttle back. To the bus station and stop at the restaurant. The pierogi are highly recommended.
Then through the forest on the beach back to Leba.
The nature is breathtaking.

Mosquitoes. Sand. Vastness.

Due to time constraints, we rode the first 3 km in a "pedal car for the elderly"😆. Climbed the 34-meter-high dune in a downpour – then the rain subsided and stopped completely at the beach. This dune is a natural wonder.😍 The walk back along the beach lets your mind wander, your chest breathe freely, the waves …
