Wezenhaag Chapel

The "Wezenhaagkapel" is said to be one of the oldest chapels in Grimbergen, completely renovated in the 19th century and extensively renovated in the 1960s.

Laurel-hedged, red and white painted brick Chapel of Our Lady on a square plan under a pantile saddle roof with decorative wind boards and a crowning wooden cross. Pointed gable with a barred and glazed round arch niche with concrete sill above which a triangular wooden sign with the inscription: "HIER MEN NO ENGEL STEET OR MEN DUDT EEN HEESGEMELEET" (Do NOT SET A FOOT HERE OR PRAY A HAIL MARY). Painted plaster statue of Mary.
The Wezenhaagkapel was damaged in 2016 by a collision with a car. The chapel was rebuilt in 2020.

The Lintbos is a forest in Grimbergen that was planted from March 2001. The area was owned by the federal government until 1989, but is now owned by the municipality of Grimbergen, which gave it a long lease to the Agency for Nature and Forests (ANB). It used to be part of Grimbergen Airport. It covers 70 ha of which 55 ha is forested with about 150 000 native trees and shrubs.
