Markeloseberg Climb

Highlight (Segment) • Climb

The 'Markeloseberg' is a great example of Dutch mountaineering. The berg (mountain) is barely a hill, but since it's one of the few in the region, it draws loads of cyclists. Just to get a nice different view over the area (Markelo has this nice old windmill for instance) but also to challenge your friends in a sprint dual to the top.

The Sallandse Heuvelrug is beautiful in all seasons, but is certainly worth a visit in August and September. Then there is a good chance that the heather has bloomed beautifully purple.
