San Grato is a 16th century chapel located on the hill near Zimone, and is dedicated to a holy bishop of Aosta. Used as a refuge by the partisans in the Second World War it was damaged during the bombings. In 2015 it was restored and made safe thanks to the San Grato Committee, made up of 14 pensioners from the town.

Decorative outdoor exhibition of ancient stone, wood and iron objects used in the 18th century as parts of a water forge with the characteristic "donkey's head" stone hammers for working iron (Brunero Families donation). The suggestive installation gives a very schematic idea of what a forge of this kind could have looked like. The Netro area, not far from Andrate, has been known as typical for iron working since ancient times.

Bastia Tower

Highlight • Monument

History The Torre della Bastia was built, by order of the Bishop of Vercelli, in 1296 by the inhabitants of Sala Biellese and Donato in order to control the pastures, the waters and the neighboring communication roads. It was completely destroyed in 1308 by the inhabitants of Andrate, Bienca and Chiaverano, tired of the usurpations suffered.

Go up the stairs of the tower to enjoy the view below (782m).

A very fun ride that has become a must in winter. More than 16 km of descent on a fast single trek. Spectacular. This time we tried to do the same trails both uphill and downhill. Fun even uphill.

First 6 km of curses in the middle of the brambles and a lot of pauta. Then beautiful S0 dirt road and down there. The return about 19 km of flow trail very beautiful and fun
