Statue of Maria Boorman Ceccarini

Highlight • Monument

In 1912 the road once called Via Viola that connects Riccione to the sea was finally named after the American benefactor Maria Boorman Wheeler, wife of the doctor Giovanni Ceccarini who died in 1903; from a narrow and dusty avenue of the late 19th century with the urban expansion of Riccione, villas, shops and hotels were built and from then on the avenue became the city's best living room and from the 50s the center of the Dolce Vita and the street of fashion

Rimini's madness is a must-see. A 20-kilometer-long, 150-meter-deep, very fine sand beach paired with 100,000 sun loungers and parasols, tourists, and all the hustle and bustle that goes with it.

So we ended up in Rimini after all, because the big weekly market always takes place there on Wednesdays in the historic center.

It was 15 kilometers from our campsite, which almost always goes along the endless promenades of Riccione and then Rimini. Teutonic barbecue 😊 But now, in the pre-season, it's still quite relaxed to cycle...
