The first cove that we discover when leaving Cassis is called Port Miou. It offers beautiful views of Cap Canaille. These are these high orange-colored cliffs that overlook the city.

Beautiful hike from Camping Les Cigales to the Calanques.

You should be able to climb a bit at one point or another 😅

We left the Cassis campsite. At the first bay you have to be there early to get a shady place. The climb to the second bay offers little shade and is very crowded but with beautiful views. We didn't go down to the second mountain because it wasn't possible with a child. A lot of exposed places and extremely overcrowded. …

Almost half of the journey was by bike. In the Calanques it is very steep in parts and almost the entire route has scree and smooth rocks that are difficult to walk on.

beautiful walk with Ruth in the Marseille-Calonques near Cassis over the plateaux down to the bay d'en veau....partly quite challenging path down into the gorge..whole round with fabulous views🤩🍀☀️

In the high season it is essential to reserve a parking space in Cassis, otherwise as an alternative, park in the free Les Gorguettes car park (buses also run from there to the center of Cassis).
From the port to the Calanque de Port Miou in approx. 30 minutes and further on an easy path in approx. 20 minutes to …

Today we went🥾👫 to the coast in the lively and pretty Cassis with moderate temperatures and bright sunshine☀️. After a short stroll we had a first-class bouillabaisse🍲🐠🤌 in the Poissonnerie Laurent - a good tip from the lonely planet travel guide!

Showing Translation

Very nice but strenuous tour. Partially exposed terrain, sturdy shoes necessary (trekking shoes at best sturdy hiking sandals), water (1.5 -2 liters) is a must and provisions recommended.
Views and swimming in the calanques make up for the arduous journey!
