JFK Blvd Bike Friendly Stairway to Schuylkill River Trail

Highlight • Rest Area

On the left hand side of John F Kennedy Boulevard, there is an easy to reach trail. There is not too much traffic here and a wide walkway to reach the stairs. I am a local and I prefer this staircase to other trail entrance points nearby. You have to put your bike in the trough and go down 3 flights of stairs to reach the trail.

The trail winds through rural, agricultural, suburban, urban, and industrial areas. It is a rail trail with over 75 miles of the trail being paved or surfaced with crushed stone and open to the public. Managed and developed by the Schuylkill River Trail Partners, there are ongoing plans to extend the trail.
