July 4, 2024,Krumltal - Tal der Geyer und Steinadler
The climb to the Bräualm was only about 6.5 km long, komoot spent the remaining 3 km looking for a position while I enjoyed my lunch.
The valley is really beautiful, not only does the Kruml thunder along the hiking trail, but all the tributaries fall into the valley as waterfalls. Often in the lower part they fall into an …

The Krumltal is magnificent. Not only is it a fantastic landscape with a rushing stream, many waterfalls and a view of high mountains. Here you can see eagles, griffon vultures, bearded vultures, ibexes, chamois and masses of marmots.

Day 4 with modest weather... Well, what's the saying?
There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing haha.

Similar to the Seidlwinkeltal, you have to climb a steep incline to get to the valley of the vultures.

The reward: rustic hut, great innkeeper and hearty snack!

Probably the most strenuous ascent with just under 400m of elevation gain over 4km awaited us today to enjoy the delicious food at Bräualm 🤩

Initially accompanied by light clouds, the sun ☀️ blessed us with its full power over the course of the day. 💪

Lots of animals, cows 🐄, horses 🐎 and also a marmot up close 🤩

The Rauris Krumltal is a wild and romantic side valley of the Golden Valley of the Alps and was selected in 1986 for the reintroduction of the bearded vultures, which have already been exterminated in Europe.
In addition, this side valley is one of the valleys of …

... and actually saw a few vultures from a distance (e.g. griffon vulture in picture 14)

Very nice hiking trail, quiet, you can see many waterfalls cascading down the rock walls, and besides (a few) vultures there were plenty of well-fed marmots to see
