May 28, 2022,[344] Eifelsteig: Etappe 15 | Von Gladbach nach Trier 🌤 🥾🥾 🍰 🎒
Today our last stage begins on the Eifelsteig. The path first leads us through the beautiful Butzerbach valley. Going uphill you will see small waterfalls, climb up ladders and cross the river on footbridges and suspension bridges. All very exciting. In the further course we pass the Klausen Cave, the Genovea Cave and the Eifelkreuz. Then we cross the A64 …

Today we finished the 30th stage of the Eifelsteig with the Eifelverein Bad-Muenstereifel. Accommodation was in Ramstein Castle in Kordel, where we started today's tour. A highlight was the Butzenbachtal, which was actually still closed, but was managed well with a few small climbing units.
The next great vantage point was the Geyersley with a view of Ramstein Castle. Other …

During the COVID pandemic started several long distance walks including the Eifelsteig. Did a few stages in 2021 and a few more in 2022 and finally completed the 15th and final stage 11th June 2024. Another one added to the collections.
Today we were able to use public transport again on the Eifelsteig: early in the morning we drove to Trier, from there we took the RB22 to Kordel. Immediately behind Kordel it went uphill, only to lead down again shortly afterwards. And this lively up and down characterized this entire stage, which was a great pleasure for us. The sights …

After completing the Rothaarsteig, you continue on to the Eifelsteig, but in the opposite direction from Trier. The 1st stage is an announcement and incredibly great, especially with the caves and the magnificent wilderness in the Butzbachtal.
Attention, the inspection of the gorge is the responsibility of every hiker!!!
This is how the Eifelsteig can continue.😎👍

I still remember the cool but beautiful November day in 2019: We got on the bus to Kornelimünster in Roetgen, full of anticipation but also a little nervous, to start the Eifelsteig project. And today, after more than 65 hours, 320 kilometers and 7340 meters of altitude, we have reached our destination in Trier! The Eifelsteig presented itself to us …
