Wikipedia: The Gugelturm, jokingly also the new Hotz, is an observation tower on the Gugel (998 m) in the municipality of Herrischried in the Hotzenwald. The building, erected by the Black Forest Association between 1971 and 1974, replaced a bell-shaped predecessor building from 1929/1930. It is 30.5 m high, the viewing platform is at a height of 16 m.
