At 17km, Kitty discovered, that she lost her iPhone and her glasses 🙈. We had to ride back all the way to Épinal. Fortunately a runner found it and we could pick it up at his home. How lucky we were!!!!! Therefor ading an extra 40km …
This morning we looked at Place Stanislas again without tourists.
Then always along the Canal des Vosges in the direction of Epinal. The Moselle, which is no longer navigable from Nancy at the latest, ran alongside.

The morning was cool, and the north wind followed us throughout the journey, making it very unpleasant.
The autumn colors were magnificent.
The canal runs alongside industrial wastelands, a reminder of its past and economic importance.

... shortly after Igney we got into an "intensive cold wash program" and then again and again in different intensities ... 🌨️🌨️🌨️
... in Charmes we leave the rain outside and enjoy lunch …

In Laneuveville, we then turn onto the Voie Bleue along the Nancy connecting canal, which takes us from Nancy in the Meurthe Valley over a mountain …

Very quiet along the canal and not many people.
There was even a stop with water and tools. We also found a cyclist's rest stop.
