July 3, 2022,Bike Ride on Cannon Valley Trail from Welch Station to Cannon Falls 2022-07-03
This is our 15th bike ride on a virtual biking tour from Land's End to John O'Groats in England, Wales and Scotland.

Each of our bike rides of this virtual tour can be seen in the collection named Virtual Cycling Tour from Land's End to John O'Groats. Here is the link to that collection: komoot.com/collection/1616785/-virtual-cycling-tour-from-land-s-end-to-john-o-groats
Maiden voyage for our eBikes this season on one of our favorite rides, The Cannon Valley Trail.

This tour is our 4th ride on a 321-mile-long virtual bike tour on the Moselle cycle path. This virtual tour follows the Moselle River from its origin in the Vosges Mountains to its confluence with the Rhine River.
The Cannon Valley Trail, stretching from Welch Station to Cannon Falls, is our traditional bike ride at the start of the season. The weather was perfect for our outing. I had hoped to enjoy a "Devonshire Cream Tea" at CannonBelles Coffee and Ice Cream Shop, but ended up settling for a delicious Midwestern malted milk instead.
Still bringing over highlights from my Road Cycling adventures, since they aren't specifically for that, any biker can enjoy them.

Tonight's ride started around 48 degrees and ended around 38 degrees.
The clouds were dark on the way here tonight, but the weather turned out decent started in the low 80's finish around 78 degrees and about that much humidity. Fun ride with my friend Brian McCabe.
This was to be our first bike ride of the year earlier this week, but we had to cancel it because the trail was still covered, according to the trail report, by "Tons of snow." By the day of this ride, the last patch had just melted. Now another 5 inches of snow are forecasted.
