Today we went hiking around Bensberg and took some photos. We were inspired by Mr. Pfade. Due to the often poor ground conditions, our fitness and attention quickly waned. And since we were mainly interested in having fun, we shortened the tour.

An idyllic stroll through an intact forest area just outside Cologne.

The trail is 75% narrow. We only left the paths of the beautiful forest to explore the castle.

From the castle, there are fantastic views all the way to Cologne Cathedral.

Today I made it easy for myself. Consulted Komoot, found Mrpfade, and took a short drive into the Bergisches Wald. Mrpfade kept its word; most of the time, the trail is somewhat off the beaten track, following narrow paths. There's a bit of adventure while crossing streams. With my eyes wide open, I found all the trails... and much more!

Very nice tour in the greater Cologne area. We hardly met anyone on the first half, then it got a bit busier. But it was perfectly fine for a Sunday. Lots of great and narrow paths, a real adventure. Easy to walk even when it's warm as there's plenty of shade and water ☺️
