Today, for a change, we're heading to the Schönbuch region instead of the Black Forest. The tour runs along the Schaich river for a while and is often shaded. It also includes a few lovely narrow hiking trails and few climbs.

That's why we chose the Schaichtal today.

First we went down forest highways to the Scheich. This small stream babbles idyllically through the idyllic valley.

Unfortunately there were just far too many cyclists on the road.
