Today I had a nice walk with a family of nutria, mother with 3 little young ones 😀

Why are nutria dangerous? Nutria are not dangerous to humans. They only attack when they feel really threatened. However, the rodents are much more dangerous for flood protection, as they dig holes and tunnels in river banks and dykes.

After the hike to Ehrenburg near Brodenbach, the last few kilometers to the accommodation in Kobern-Gondorf were up. The path continues along the Moselle with a great view of Thrurant Castle or the spectacular passage through von der Leyen Castle. My personal highlight was seeing a beaver. I have never seen anything like it in the wild.
