November 1, 2025,Hochlandhütte – Gipfel des Steinkarkopf Runde von Mittenwald
A beautiful and technically easy hike; there was already some snow on the trail and slippery leaves at the top in early November, but it was all quite manageable. We didn't need the stated times. Anyone still planning to climb the Wörner should think carefully about the snowfields and the climbing sections.

This is an addendum, it's been a while, so I don't remember everything exactly anymore... but in short:
Beautiful day with Jonas, a tough climb with good fitness. Snow and sun at the top. But there was also a pretty steep section at the very top... a bit scary for me. But okay, and the view was fantastic.

A truly beautiful hike, but you should be in good shape, as some of the climbs are quite steep.

For the descents, hiking poles are recommended to put strain on your knees!

And even though the summit is "only" below 2000 meters, the hike is 100% worth it for the magnificent view!

That was definitely my favorite tour of this hiking holiday and gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+ from me. Varied and now at the end of spring there are always fantastic impressions of the mountain peaks, some of which are still snow-covered. I was also fortunate not to meet a single hiker on the tour, which is probably due to the fact that I …

May 26, 2022,Wörner mag nicht
It was not planned to climb the Wörner today. Instead, a nice round tour over the Rehbergalm, the Wörnergrat with Steinkarkopf and a famous highland hut was planned. The weather was good, only the Wörner has constantly put on the hood. Otherwise, a brilliant hike that makes you want more Karwendel.

Great circular hike with a steep and sweaty climb on a beautiful narrow path. You will be rewarded with great views of the Karwendelspitzen and Zugspitze (with good visibility). On the descent, a stop at the highland hut is recommended, very nice hosts, we had delicious cakes. Then descent on a wide gravel road with a low fun factor but …

Readjustment tour after vacation in the North German Plain... Wanted to see if we can top the 116m from Hasselbrack 🤪
We started from the parking lot behind the barracks in Mittenwald via beautiful forest paths to the Rehbergalm (1560m). Here I made a short detour to an absolute highlight, the Schwarzkopf (1591m). It goes pathlessly up and down (which …

The moderately difficult hiking tour from Mittenwald to the Hochlandhütte begins at the hiking car park north near Mittenwald. Here we first hiked in a southerly direction and then turned left onto a narrow hiking trail. This always led slightly uphill next to the Gassellahnbach until you meet a forest road again at the upper end. We followed the forest …
