Today we drove to the neighboring province of Agrigento and visited the town of Sciacca.
It's a beautiful town with a marina and a wealth of history. The Arabs and the Normans were here... the city walls date back to 1330.

It's worth it!

Hey, Komootler, Sciacca has a large fishing port, lots of stairs and narrow streets. The old town looks typically Italian, grey with small balconies and laundry hanging over the street. Overall, though, not pretty. On the way back, we bought two fish that are now cooking in the oven. That will be the biggest surprise of the day. 😅
