Wolletzsee Beach

Highlight • Beach

Idyllically located on the eastern shore of Wolletzsee, in 1927 a bathing beach was built through the city of Angermünde. The otherwise almost completely surrounded by forest Lake has been part of the city since the 14th century and is located in the Biosphere Reserve Schorfheide-Chorin.

The lifeguard-guarded facility is spacious and offers several volleyball courts, table tennis tables, a large children's playground, sunny and shady squares, a long jetty with a diving platform and a bathing island. A colorful range of exceptional pedal boats and beautiful rowing boats complete the pleasure of the day. The water quality of the lake is regularly awarded the "Blue Flag." All over Brandenburg, with its many clean lakes, there are only four of these coveted awards of the environmental symbol.

During the summer season, a bus runs from the Angermünde train station to the Wolletzsee lido, about five kilometers away.
Every summer a pop concert, a big dragon boat race and a summer beach party take place in the summer and these attract visitors from near and far to the beach Wolletzsee.

Lake Wolletz

Highlight • Lake

Directly in front of the gates of the Uckermark town of Angermünde lies the seven-kilometre-long Lake Wolletzsee, embedded in the hilly, wooded landscape on the edge of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Schorfheide-Chorin. The hiking trail is particularly varied: steep bank areas on the edge of old beech forests alternate with diverse meadow and field landscapes. Because of its clear water, which is fed by the Welse River, the 18 meter deep Lake Wolletzsee is also very popular as a bathing lake with divers and anglers.

Buckow Lake

Highlight • Lake

Through the ups and downs of the rollercoaster landscape formed during the Ice Age, you will ride along the core zone past forest lakes and the 139 meter high Blocksberg, the highest mountain in the Uckermark. The special feature: Here the forest is no longer managed, but left to its own devices.

There are no big mountains here, but from this hill you still have a wide view over the landscape and Lake Wolletz. And the climb is actually pretty steep, so you can work up a sweat even in November. :)
