Fröschig Spring

Highlight • Natural Monument

In the summer of 1976, the spring was tapped by members of the Burghaig Horticultural Society with the support of THW and the Kulmbach Gardens Office. The discharge of the spring is about one liter in 3 seconds.

Swedish Fortification

Highlight • Historical Site

Not much is known about the small tower hill castle, which despite its name has nothing to do with the Swedes; it was probably the ancestral home of the Lords of Haug (Burghaig). These were first mentioned in 1183. In 1376 the castle was owned by the Lords of Künsberg.
In 1398 the castle site was only mentioned as a castle stable in the land register of the Plassenberg rule.

In good weather, as in the picture Fernsicht to Ochsenkopf and Schneeberg - you can even see the towers.

Schau-Dich-Um Tower on Patersberg

Highlight • Viewpoint

Beautiful trails with small and medium difficulty, garnished with a fantastic view from the tower over Kulmbacher country. Take a look at the departure to Veitlahm for the Patersberg Café. The homemade cake is great!

Especially in winter a highlight, when the little trickle freezes!

Teufelsfelsen (Großer Stein)

Highlight • Natural Monument

Nice climbing rock, unfortunately there is no bench. The Teufelsfelsen is a geotope: it shows limonite slabs and tafoni weathering.

The small but venerable St. Vitus Church, which is located in the middle of the parish of Veitlahm, was built between 1597 and 1616
