We took the old Jaufen Pass road from Vipiteno over the Rinner Saddle to the Fleckner Hut (2,100 meters above sea level). Here, we stopped for lunch with a magnificent view of the Passeier Valley. The climb was nothing new—partly very steep, along gravel and alpine paths covered with larger stones. After lunch, it was light rain and damn cold. …

Today we drove up to the Jaufenpass... unfortunately the clouds were always quite low today. A light drizzle didn't bother us.
