In May 1945 Tito advanced with his Yugoslav partisans to the Isonzo / Soca. In 1947, in the Peace of Paris, the new border between Italy and Yugoslavia was decided. The division of the city was sealed. The border was set arbitrarily along the railway line. Today, instead of barbed wire and high fences, colorful flower pots mark the border between Slovenia and Italy.

Mount Calvario is full of largely clayey paths, but there are also dirt roads that are feasible even in periods of heavy rains. From the top there is also a downhill trail with jumps, wooden overpasses and steps, but I prefer other less worked and more natural paths, all indicated in the highlights of the area.

Today Gorizia on Monte Calvario.
Perfect terrain, bike at its best, but I can't manage to do a downhill/uphill. But sooner or later I will succeed.
I don't know if the km and elevation are exact, small fall and Bryton froze.
