Bride and Groom Rock Formations

Highlight • Natural Monument

One of the landmarks of Dahn. It is arguably the easiest rock massif to reach as it towers right off the road and can even be photographed from the road. Climbers are often seen on the south side.

June 16, 2024,🇩🇪Mit Pit im Pfälzerwald (1): Sandsteinfelsen und Hammer Singletrails rund um Dahn👌
This time again in the Palatinate Forest: kilometers of single trails - sometimes very flowing, sometimes a bit technical - on our tour criss-crossing the Dahner Felsenland.

Weather changeable: now and then just before the rain, but it never came, then again quite sunny, but ultimately the best biking conditions all day...

in the most beautiful, largest forest in Germany for biking with Jupp....endless trails great to ride, flowing and even flowier🤩mostly loose beech forest with sandstone rocks that look very bizarre...super nice round today

Final round for this time in the Palatinate, but we were certainly not here for the last time. Again today HammerSingleTrails without period and comma, sometimes a bit technical, but very often totally flowy, up and down or more rarely just....
.., from a sandstone rock, from which the whole Palatinate Forest seems to consist, to the other, and today …

The tour goes along a lot of forest highways if you consider the length. In many places you don't ride on a good trail but instead, for whatever reason, you ride on the parallel forest path. This is probably because it is an official route. Once in Rumbach, you can charge up. There were also some very good uphill and …

We actually wanted to spend 4 days in the Rhön and ride the Trans Buchonia there. But the weather gods weren't kind to us and - like almost everywhere else in Germany - it was just terrible weather. 😪
So we changed our plans and went to a place where the ground was still perfectly passable even after 4 weeks …

DONE. All driven. 😊 Today was the last tour of the MTB park Palatinate Forest on the program.
With Oliver (@Palatinatrails ) I was able to win a "willing" 😉 comrade-in-arms for this tour.
It started, logically, in Dahn, following the original route.

Refreshments at the Drachenfelshütte and later at the Schmalstein Hütte.

Altitude ⛰️⛰️ detention in the Palatinate Forest 😉. After the week in Holland, a few more altitude meters 🚵‍♀️ were needed. In May it was too wet for the tour and now it's really summer. What can you do 🤷‍♀️.

How was the tour for me 🤔🤔🤔.

Hot 🔥 as hell 👹 and heavy as hell 🐷🐷.
