It was an adventurous and strenuous tour over sandy paths and partly over hiking and horse trails, and on top of that there was a strong wind. Another great tour with our neighbors.
The Maasduinen are just a dream, many paths that are worth exploring, the heather is currently blooming, just beautiful.
Today's highlight was the castle ruins of Bleijenbeek. The castle was built in 1406 and destroyed before the end of World War II by Allied Typhoon fighter-bombers with 22 direct hits

That was a nice tour.👍 But it could definitely be improved. There was a long stretch of busy road in between 🙂‍↕️. Next time, we'll take trail 31 along the "Ontginnigsweg" and then via "Op de Paal" towards Reindersmeer. The narrow cycle paths through the Maasduinen, with their ups and downs, are the most fun.
