The guarded beach in Jantar is located near entrance 79, east of the fishing port. This section of beach can be recognized from a distance by its two wooden lifeguard towers. Before entering the water, be sure to check the color of the lifeguard flag. Lifeguards finish their duties at 5 p.m.
The lifeguard towers require renovation, including painting and plumb-line work, as they lean toward the sea.

Triple Pine in Jantar

Highlight • Natural Monument

An unusual pine tree grows on the ridge of a dune, on the western side of the road made of concrete slabs, connecting Brzozowa Street with the beach.
Three branches grow from the tree trunk, and a bit higher, one of the branches splits into two more. Most of the lower branches appear to be withered. Only in the top part of the tree the branches are covered with pins.

The surrounding pine forest is dominated by much younger trees, but nearby there are at least three trees of a similar thickness to the pine I highlighted.

Grzybek Restaurant, Jantar

Highlight • Restaurant

I was encouraged to visit the "Grzybek" restaurant by positive customer reviews I found online. The restaurant is not very visible on Morska Street, tucked into a row of stalls and ice cream parlors, stretching across the street, with umbrellas, and leading up a stone staircase to a hill where there are also areas for eating and playing for children.

We ordered the oven-baked cod in a cream sauce with capers and cucumber, plus fries, for 54 PLN. I can confirm that the dish is delicious, although a local questioned whether it was actually cod. We waited almost 40 minutes for it to be served. There were quite a few customers during that time, so it's justified.

While we were waiting, a heavy downpour fell, and the restaurant has a tarp roof on a metal structure, shaped like a mushroom. The roof bravely withstood the rain, didn't leak, and didn't yield to the wind.

The restroom is in a separate building on the right side; in case of rain, you'll need an umbrella to get there. WW

Jantar Fishing Port

Highlight • Structure

An iconic place, wooden fishing boats pulled out of the water, await their next voyage.
On the steep shore there is a gastronomic complex with a very nice panorama of the beaches and fishing boats

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

A short promenade overlooking the sea and beach. In summer the view is mostly obscured by trees.
