The Roman Catholic parish church of Goldwörth is under the patronage of St. Alban.

A wooden church probably existed as early as the 11th century, first mentioned in documents in 1321, and was probably built in a different location, possibly in the so-called churchyard east of Rutzingerdorf, i.e. south of Goldwörth. The current church was mentioned in 1407 as the Albanus Church, and documented in 1457 as a branch of the parish church of Feldkirchen an der Donau. In 1783/1794 Goldwörth was elevated to a parish and incorporated into the monastery of St. Florian.

The Gothic church was built in the first third of the 16th century using older outer walls. The baroque flat ceiling in the nave and the zoning of the tower were added in the 18th century. The tower roof is from 1925. The sacristy was rebuilt and extended in 1955, the staircase porch on the west front and on the tower in 1961. In 1886 there was a renovation, restoration took place in the 1970s and outside in 1980 and inside in 1994. In 2014 the interior was redesigned.
