Dorotheerwald Aqueduct

Highlight (Segment) • Bridge

Very nice uphill and downhill route to Laaber Tor. However, only recommendable when it is dry, as there is a lot of sludge when it is damp.

Since, surprisingly for me, in Austria, and thus also in Vienna, neither Good Friday nor Holy Saturday is a public holiday or at least a day off, there was a lot going on. Two bicycle boutiques were hit and then it stopped raining. So off to the Vienna Woods on the Lainzer Tierparktrail. A mixture of asphalt, single trail and …

Unfortunately, falling is part of mountain biking. I think every frequent rider gets it once or more often. This time it was in a really easy spot on the Lainzer Tiergarten Downhill. After a driving error at high speed, I went over the handlebars. The subsequent skull x-ray showed no fractures. So fortunately only swelling, abrasions and cuts. It'll be …

In what felt like tropical heat, we walked around the Lainzer Tiergarten. Before that, we visited the playground at Antonshöhe.

Since rain hits in my days off(wed&thurs)i risk my chances to take my bike for a 4 hour window of good weather doing the lainzer tiergarten strecke! All of my skills tested to the limit:dirty, muddy, speeding, braking under mud&climbing, small rivers passing, patience, taking good decisions, wet clothesl! Athough i had great fun...lainzer tiergarten is always a good place to escape n chilling!
Great lap, I was lucky, absolutely has to be driven dry, excessive flow mostly s0 every now and then s1.

We set off at nightfall, right after hours of rain. This made the moderately technical terrain difficult to very difficult. Extremely exciting and challenging. It was great fun.

Bought the bike 1 year ago in September and did my first "real" ride with it to the day - the Lainzer Tiergarten circumnavigation. On the occasion of the exit made again today - not the most exciting tour but still very nice.
I do it now maybe once a year 😅
