Today we took the train to Taranto (Italian Tarento), a city with almost 200,000 inhabitants on the Ionian Sea. The city was founded around 500 BC. Founded by Greek settlers. The old town is located on an island between Mare Piccolo and Mare Grande and is connected to the mainland by a stone bridge and a metal swing bridge.
