The princely hunting lodge Pleßhaus was built in 1866/67 on the Pleßhauswiese, about 1 km north of the summit of the Pleß.
In 1974 it was moved to a new location approx. 1.5 km south of the Breitungen train station and has been called the “Seeblick” restaurant ever since.
The foundations of the old Pleßhaus on the Pleßhauswiese are still well preserved and secured against deterioration with a tin roof.
